If you are looking for your perfect property for sale in Cómpeta, then you may want to find out more about it:
Vine-covered hills and beautiful mountain landscapes welcome you to Cómpeta, which is particularly famous for its excellent wine. This product is celebrated every year in August with a magical night that has become a summer festival not to be missed.
Cómpeta is a white Axarquía village with beautiful traditional architecture and ancient customs. It is nicknamed the "Cornice of the Costa del Sol" because of its privileged location. Its territory includes the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park, with its exceptional scenic features. If you’ve ever fancied living inside a picture postcard, now’s your chance. Shops tend to be traditional rather than modern. The exception is Calle Cazadores’ Sugar & Spice. It’s four shops rolled into one, selling food, furniture, gifts, and homeware.
If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get to live in one of the whitewashed properties that make up what’s known as the Pearl of the Axarquia. There are also restored fincas in the surrounding area, if you’re after a bit more land for your Euro. In or out, you’ll certainly wake up to a wonderful view.

Fiestas
On 15 August, on the occasion of the Assumption of Mary, the patron saint of the village, Cómpeta celebrates the Noche Del Vino "Night of Wine". The festival is a so-called Fiesta de Interés Turístico Nacional in Andalusia and offers wine tastings of the Muscat grape (an extraordinarily sweet wine) and music. The event commemorates the "farewell" that farmers once celebrated before leaving for the farms and wineries at harvest time.
Other notable festivals are the Feria del Barrio in honour of St. Sebastian (January), the Festival of San Blas (February) and the Day of the Cross (May). There is also the "Sanjuaneo" (a celebration of St. John in June), the Summer Festival (July) and Lumbres (September), a festival with a traditional bonfire in honour of the Virgin of Candelaria.
The most important part of Semana Santa is the Via Crucis on Good Friday. In the morning there is a procession for men only, while in the evening there is the Soledad procession for women.
